I was born in Ostrava (The Czech Republic) in 1983, grown in Chrudim where I went through basic violin, guitar and later drums education. I fell in love with jazz music on jazz workshops in Frýdlant v Čechách (teacher: Tom Bancroft) and Prague (teachers: Martin Šulc and Jiří Slavíček).

In 2002 after moving to Prague I became part of the music scene here, met great people, started playing with great bands such as Roman Pokorný Trio, Blues Box Heroes, Yvonne Sanchez & Brazilian Mood, Najponk Trio, Infinite Quintet, Jan Kořínek & Groove and others.

You can find my current bands on this website.

I often play / used to play with musicians you might now, like Lenka Dusilová, Jana Kirschner, Ondřej Pivec, Iva Bittová, Jaromír Honzák, Osian Roberts, Nick Etwell, Matěj Benko, Rich Perry, Steve Fishwick, Sam Sadigursky, Bob Montgomery and others. I have toured in The Czech Republic, Turkey, Germany, Romania, Austria, Greece, Bulgaria and Slovakia.

I’m currently studying at Jazz Institute Berlin with the great John Hollenbeck! It would not be possible without a kind support by Struny Podzimu.
